A global manufacturing company and a leader in their industry is looking for a talented COST ANALYST in the Eaton Rapids, MI area.

This is a highly visible position in the company and will have heavy interaction with the plant, division and corporate level staff. This position will have heavy exposure to manufacturing operations and is not your traditional month-end close accounting position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and improve the standard costing system in the plant;
• Preparation of cost allocations and analysis;
• Analysis and review of overhead burden rates;
• Creation and oversight of Bill of Material (BOM) and Routers;
• Develop processes to identify and resolve issues that can provide opportunity to improve financial results.
• Work cross functionally with the Plant Controller to analyze monthly operating results and present information to the General Manager and Vice President of Finance;
• Review departmental budgets on a monthly basis; analyze results and present detailed reports to upper management for review.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual plant budget;
• Work on special projects as requested by Plant and Corporate Management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance with strong academic credentials.
• Experience with standard costing in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to resolve complex financial issues.
