Our client in global client in Oakland County is seeking to hire a talented CORPORATE CONTROLLER. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage all aspects of the company s global accounting and reporting activities, including: Corporate Accounting, North American Shared Services, External Reporting and Capital Accounting and Forecasting.
Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of worldwide consolidated financial statements with full disclosure in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Oversee and direct activities around monthly global consolidations.
Support the identification, evaluation, design and development of efficient processes and systems utilization, concentrating on compliance, risk mitigation, cost effectiveness and best practices for the global consolidation system
Establish and maintain a system of internal controls, including the financial reporting manual.
Provide account analyses as required to provide insight into operations and monitor financial risks and opportunities, making recommendations and taking action as appropriate.
Assist with the budget process and 5-year planning process
Lead and coordinate activities of external auditors for Inteva s consolidated financial statements, benefit plans, bank audits, and other reporting requirements.
Lead, mentor and develop all accounting team members.
Assist CFO with special projects, as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor s degree in accounting. CPA and/or MBA required.
Minimum 15+ years of related experience required, including financial reporting, leading external annual audit, and corporate accounting.
Demonstrated working knowledge and application of US GAAP
Previous experience managing direct and indirect teams
