10+ Years of Controllership Experience

 

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Corporate Controller for a growing global automotive manufacturing organization headquartered in the Metro Detroit area. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for leading the Company's accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and internal control functions while supporting multiple manufacturing facilities across North America. The Corporate Controller will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee Plant Controllers, and partner closely with executive leadership to drive operational and financial performance. 

 

Requirements of the Corporate Controller

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 

  • CPA preferred; MBA is a plus. 

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience within a manufacturing environment. 

  • Experience working in a global organization with responsibility for consolidated financial reporting. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. 

  • Strong leadership experience managing accounting teams across multiple locations.  

  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning. 

 

Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller

  • Lead all corporate accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and controllership activities. 

  • Supervise and mentor Plant Controllers while providing financial leadership across multiple manufacturing locations. 

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements. 

  • Direct short-term and long-term forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities. 

  • Develop and enhance financial reporting systems, accounting policies, and internal control procedures. 

  • Partner with operations leadership to support budget development and improve business performance. 

  • Prepare executive-level financial analyses and recommendations to support strategic decision making. 

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and corporate accounting policies.
