Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Controller for a construction company in Troy, MI. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team, and growth oriented company.
Requirements of the Controller
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience in construction accounting is required.
In-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles, such as WIP reporting and job costing, is crucial.
Necessary skills encompass technical proficiency in accounting software and Excel, strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and proven leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities of the Controller
Oversee financial reporting and analysis, preparing statements like balance sheets and income statements.
Manage job costing systems to track project expenses and profitability, handle budgeting and forecasting, and monitor project performance against financial plans.
Manage company cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as implementing internal controls and coordinating audits.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations, lead accounting staff, contribute to strategic planning, and support project management with contract and insurance matters.
Manage commercial insurance programs and risk related to projects.
Supervise full time assistant.
