Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Controller for a long-time client locally. This leadership role is critical to driving financial performance through effective planning, compliance, reporting, and strategic insight
REQUIREMENTS of the Controller role
- Bachelor s degree in accounting
- CPA Designation highly preferred
- 7 - 10+ years of Accounting and FP&A Experience
- Understanding of GAAP
- NetSuite experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Controller
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes across departments
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Translate operational activities and business drivers into financial impacts, and vice versa, to support cross-functional understanding and decision-making
- Collaborate with department heads to drive financial discipline, identify risks/opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure financial compliance and support internal and external audits.
- Continuously review and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
- Other duties and projects as assigned
