SUMMARY

Our client is a large, growing, privately held company in the Metro Detroit area. They are seeking a Controller to add to their team to support a newly acquired line of business.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Controller

• Controller will manage team to complete month end close and related reporting to provide upper management.
• Lead role in annual budget and forecast, as well as monthly variance analysis.
• Main point of contact for tax and audit schedule maintenance, as well as keeping up with internal audit requirements/compliance.
• Must be a team player and be able to communicate to Functional Group and Operations team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of the Controller

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 7+ years of experience in Accounting required.
• High level of US GAAP knowledge.
• Excellent communication, people, written and presentation skills.
• Team player who can work well with other functional groups.
