10 plus years of experience as a Corporate Controller

Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Corporate Controller for a leading professional services company located in the Detroit area. This position is responsible for the accounting operations of the organization which includes production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and maintenance and implementation of accounting policies and controls necessary to assure accuracy of financial reporting in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Requirements of the Corporate Controller

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or closely related field.
• MBA or Master degree and CPA designation highly preferred
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience working with private family-owned business a plus.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in development of business systems and system implementation
• Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller

• Direct supervision includes general accounting, cash management, accounts payable, operational accounting including project accounting and billing/collections.
• Responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Responsible for monthly preparation of budget to revenue reporting which includes reporting of monthly margin and overhead variances.
• Preparation of required quarterly and annual bank reporting.
• Oversees treasury and tax functions.
