VENTEON Finance is hiring a BUDGET ANALYST to provide support for a Non-Profit organization in Detroit, MI. This organization supports multiple programs that ensure people have access to shelter, food, water, education, health care and mental health programs. They also help provide training and employment programs. Come and join a team that allows you to earn a living while helping others.
POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Contract to Hire. Hybrid after training (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
POSITION IS OPEN TO LOCAL CANDIATES ONLY. NO RELOCATION
Requirements of the Budget Analyst:
Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience supporting a non-profit organization desired. Knowledge in grant funding and compliance desired.
Minimum five years of work experience in Accounting that includes budgeting, forecasting and general ledger activities is required.
Experience in financial forecasting, modeling, analysis and reporting.
Strong organization, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP / Accounting Systems.
Duties of the Budget Analyst:
Prepare the annual agency budget and present it to the Board for approval.
Prepare budgets and forecasts to support specific programs.
Monitoring financial allocations in compliance with procedures and regulations.
Make recommendations on specific program budgets and grant proposals.
Recommend budget changes as needed.
Lead monthly review of budget to actuals, analyze variances, promote cost saving ideas and measures.
Determine costs needed to implement programs.
Track expenditures.
Prepare reports required by funders. Remain current on funder policies.
Remain in compliance with all governmental agencies.
