Venteon Finance is hiring a BILLING / JOB COSTNG MANAGER to provide support in the Clarkston, MI area.
You will provide leadership in billing and job costing for a growing company. The position is open due to a company promotion. The ideal candidate enjoys supporting the construction industry and is seeking a long term opportunity. Position entails managing a team of 10 Billing Specialist in a shared services work environment.
POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Direct Hire. In Office
PAY: $ 90,000 to $120,000 based education/skills. Benefits package, vacation, and profit sharing program is also provided.
Requirements of the Construction Billing Manager:
- Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance or economics required.Would consider a Shared Servces Accounting Manager or Billing Manager or Controller/Asst Controller.
- Solid leadership skills and management of at least 6-10 employees is required. Construction industry knowledge a major plus.
- 5+ years of billing management experience needed. 3+ years in Job costing.
- POC (Percentage Of Completion or Partial billing) experience is highly desirable. Management of complex invoicing is required.
- Ability to coach and build teams. Strong analysis capabilities. Able to provide support in a multi company, multi division work environment.
- Technical skills: with Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced Excel. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive experience desired. Experience with Doc-Link document management system a plus. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) & Key2Act (formerly Wennsoft) a major plus.
Duties of the Construction Billing Manager:
- Responsible for managing the billing and job-cost teams.
- Hands on management. Delegation of work. Pitching in when needed to meet deadlines.
- Providing support for escalated issues. Researching issues and finding solutions.
- Identifying trends and performing variance analysis. Looking for trends through data.
- Reviewing margins and following up with appropriate staff members.
- Building relationships with other teams.
- Management reporting.
- Responsible for hitting weekly performance production goals/metrics.
- Interaction with management and sales team.
