Our client is looking for a Benefits Manager in the Detroit area
We re looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Benefits professional to help support and evolve our employee benefits programs. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution, this role is ideal for someone ready to step beyond a purely analytical position and take on more ownership in shaping our benefits offerings.
You ll contribute to the design, administration, and communication of benefit plans that support employee well-being, retention, and engagement. Working closely with HR leadership and external vendors, you'll ensure our benefits remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with employee needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and leave of absence plans.
Partner with benefits leadership to evaluate and enhance plan offerings based on employee feedback, utilization trends, and market data.
Collaborate with vendors and brokers to ensure high-quality service and smooth plan operations.
Help coordinate open enrollment processes, including system setup, employee communications, and issue resolution.
Provide guidance to employees on benefits-related questions and escalations, helping them navigate their options and make informed decisions.
Assist with compliance activities related to benefits (ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA), including audits, reporting, and filings.
Contribute to benefits-related communications, education materials, and presentations that help employees understand and engage with their benefits.
Monitor trends and benchmark data to support recommendations on plan design or policy changes.
Participate in cross-functional HR projects related to wellness, total rewards, or employee experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
3 5 years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or a related function.
Working knowledge of benefit plan design and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience working with HRIS (UKG) and benefits platforms (BenXpress) is a plus.
Experience with BCBS and Fidelity providers is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
Eagerness to learn and grow into a more strategic benefits role.
