Job Description

SUMMARY
Our client is a mid-sized growing, privately held company in the Western Michigan area. They are seeking an Assistant Controller to add to their team.


RESPONSIBILITIES of the Assistant Controller

  • Support month end close and related reporting to provide upper management.  This will include US and some International Operations.
  • Lead role in annual budget and forecast, as well as monthly variance analysis.
  • Main point of contact for tax and audit schedule maintenance, as well as keeping up with internal audit requirements/compliance
  • Must be a team player and be able to communicate to Functional Group and Operations team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of the Assistant Controller

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting required
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting required
  • High level of US GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent communication, people, written and presentation skills
  • Team player who can work well with other functional groups
