Minimum 5 Years experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to fill a opening with a manufacturing company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have a background in engineering, ideally in seating, general assembly or welded assembly.
Requirements of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
BSME or similar degree required
5+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA & Control Plans
Experience with automotive interior or seating systems preferred
PLEX experience a plus
Experience with general assembly or welded assembly processes a plus

Responsibilities of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Lead manufacturing process development for new seating programs from concept through production launch.
Develop manufacturing process flows, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and standardized work documentation.
Design and implement assembly processes for seat structures, foam, trim, mechanisms, and final seat assembly.
Specify, source, and validate manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation systems.
Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, runoff, and production readiness activities.
Conduct process capability studies and ensure manufacturing processes meet customer quality requirements.
Support APQP activities, including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, Run-at-Rate, and PPAP submissions.
