Venteon Finance is hiring an ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST to provide support in Sterling Heights, MI. Become part of an accounting team for a growing Automotive Supplier!
POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Direct Hire. PAY: $50,000 to $55,000 annual
Requirements of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Bachelor or Associates degree desirable. Will consider candidates with directly relevant work experience as well.
- 4+ years of prior work experience in accounting that includes accounts receivable collections activities.
- Person who enjoys working with numbers daily.
- Ability to provide client support, reconcile account balances, and adjust if needed.
- Good analytical capability for performing accounting research to identify accounts needing follow up.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Duties of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Support the accounting team with Accounts Receivable research and analysis activities.
- Handle escalated accounts receivable issues by reconciling account balances, adjusting if needed, providing invoice backup if needed, and negotiating payments.
- Conduct regular research to identify slow paying accounts that need follow up. Monitor and collect monies due via email, phone and sending payment reminders.
- Act as a liaison working to identify and resolve any barriers to payment. Focus on retaining customers while working out resolutions.
- Follow escalation procedures to third party legal collections.
- Take part in accounting reporting and month end close activities.
- Provide support for audits.
