Venteon / Harvard Resource Solutions is hiring a dynamic ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST to support a niche manufacturer in downtown Ann Arbor, MI.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. Hybrid (M,T,W,Th in office, Friday only remote). Direct Hire. PAY: $25.00- $28.30 per hour depending on education and skill level.
Requirements of the Accounts Receivable Specialist
Associate Degree in Accounting or related field nice to have. High School diploma required.
4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Specifically in cash, and collections.
Highly analytical mindset. Able to reconcile account balances and payment differences, apply debits/credits, reinvoice and follow up for payment.
Technical: Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel, Accounting systems (SAGE or MS Dynamics preferred. Strong MS Excel skills (VLookup, pivot tables, etc.)
Experience working in automotive, or retailer portals is required.
Duties of the Accounts Receivable Specialist The AR Specialist will be responsible for a variety of credit and collection related tasks across the family of companies, which includes 4 manufacturing facilities.
Apply cash receipts to customer accounts accurately.
Reconciliation of payment differences. Research the reasons for deductions in payments. Process credits/debits as needed to correct account balances. Reinvoice and follow up on payment.
Work extensively in client (Large retailer) portals to submit (and sometime resubmit) invoices, review pending payments and download remittances.
Assist in month end close process.
Perform Ad Hoc requests from Assistant Controller and Divisional Managers.
