VENTEON Is hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to provide support in Pontiac, MI. You will assist a large corporation in paying all vendors in an accurate and timely manner and providing staff supervision.
POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Direct Hire. In Office M-F PAY: $70,000 to $85,000 annual based on education/skills
Requirements of the Accounts Payable Manager:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar desirable. Understanding of GAAP /debits/credits required.
A minimum of 5 years Accounting work experience in Accounts Payable processing.
Prior experience in employee supervision.
Experience with reconciling accounts, performing month end closing activities and posting GL entries.
Experience with the year end 1099 reporting process.
Organized, able to prioritize and meet goals.
Technical skills with MS Office. Advanced Excel skills using Pivot Tables and V-Lookups. Work experience with an ERP system such as Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP is required.
Duties of the Accounts Payable Manager:
Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate 4-5 Accounts Payable Specialists.
Appropriately delegate departmental work activities ensuring on time accurate payments to vendors and customers.
Oversee and perform reviews of check requests and invoices ensuring they are coded properly.
Ensure recurring invoices are accounted for.
Facilitate payment runs and distribution of payments via check, ACH, and wires.
Manage escalated issues from the Accounts Payable team. Reconcile and resolve account differences.
Oversee and manage the reconciliation and analysis of expense reports and corporate credit cards. Ensure all receipts are provided, GL coding is applied correctly, and company reimbursement guidelines are followed.
Perform Accounts Payable month end closing activities including journal entries, reconciling account balances, making adjustment entries. generating financial reports, etc.
Serve as Accounts Payable subject matter expert with management and other departments.
Year end filing of IRS required 1099 s etc.
Analyze department efficiencies, recommend, and implement policies and procedures that improve accuracy and timing. Take part in internal and external audits.
