Job Description

Harvard Resource Solutions/Venteon  is currently seeking an eager ACCOUNTING CLERK for a long-time client in Oakland County.  This is an opportunity to join a very long-standing and tenured team with a stable organization that offers balance and flexibility.

 

Summary: The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical support for the family office .

 

Hybrid 2-3 days a week in office after competing 2-3 months  training in office. 

Responsibilities of the  Accounting Clerk: 
    Make copies of all checks, complete deposit slips, and make bank deposits.
    Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before paymen.t
    Pay vendor invoices electronically or by check as appropriate.
    Print, obtain signatures, and mail checks as required.
    Conduct vendor research as requested.
    Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and brokerage accounts
    Provide clerical support to the accounting department, including filing, copying, and electronic recordkeeping.
    Perform ad-hoc financial analysis tasks.
    Carry out other duties and project work as needed.
    Typically receives detailed instructions on special projects and new work.

 

Qualifications of the Accounting Clerk:   

 

  •  5 plus years accounts payable experience  

  •  2-5 years of working experience in an office environment

  •  Basic knowledge of accounting software  (INTACT software experience a plus)

  •  Experience performing bank reconciliations

  •  Comfortable with a high volume of work

  •  Strong computer skills, including Microsoft suite, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft     Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience with data entry and record keeping.

  • Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

 

 

Education/Vocational Training
    High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
