We are currently conducting a search for an Accounting Specialist for a well-established mission based organization in the Metro Detroit area.
Responsibilities
Manage month-end accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and journal entries.
Monitor financial activity, budgets, and compliance while analyzing account variances.
Support audits, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures.
Partner with internal departments to provide financial guidance and reporting.
Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience supporting audits and maintaining financial compliance.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
