5 plus years of Accounting experience

Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for an industry leading sales/distribution company located in the Detroit area. The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day accounting operations for a multi-state organization with multiple subsidiaries

Requirements of the Accounting Manager
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 
    5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment
    Payroll and sales tax compliance experience across multiple states
    Strong working knowledge of 1099 and year-end tax requirements
    Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.)

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
    Manage daily accounting functions across multiple entities and states
    Maintain accurate general ledger records, reconciliations, and entries
    Process and review payroll in compliance with multi-state labor laws
    Ensure accurate and timely sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
    Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements by entity and consolidated
    Support personal property tax filings and ensure proper reporting
    Assist with year-end close and preparation for external audits
    Use advanced Excel functions for reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
