Venteon Finance is currently seeking an ACCOUNTING MANAGER for a stable and growing publicly held client.
REQUIREMENTS of the Accounting Manager role
Bachelor s degree in Accounting
CPA Designation Required
Combination of both Public Accounting and Corporate experience
Public Company experience
Previous experience managing / supervising a team
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Accounting Manager
Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes for North America, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
Review and approve journal entries, ensuring they are properly recorded and documented in accordance with GAAP and company policies
Review account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial information and assist the team in resolving discrepancies promptly.
Review monthly fluctuation analyses and assist with providing explanations for significant or unusual changes in balances
Perform technical accounting research as needed and be able to implement where required
Perform work to maintain Internal Audit/SOX compliance.
Assist with audits and interact with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support
