VENTEON / Harvard Resource Solutions is hiring an ACCOUNTING MANAGER to provide support in the Portage, MI area. You will oversee transactional accounting teams: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll as well as completing month end close activities such as account reconciliations and financial reporting.

Requirements of the Accounting Manager (Shared Services):
A Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
Minimum of seven years of experience in accounting that includes at least two years at management level.
High level aptitude and knowledge in Accounts Payable, Receivable, and strong experience in Payroll Management.
Experience with month end closing, general ledger, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Preferred candidates will have prior knowledge in the manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills with MS Office including strong Excel capability, Accounting/and or ERP systems.
Duties of the Accounting Manager (Shared Services):
Provide strategic leadership for accounting operations. Meet with upper management to align goals with company objectives, discuss KPI s, and present key business results.
Support the North America and offshore financial teams.
Hire, train, motivate, and delegate work to accounting team members. Provide direct support for escalated issues. Keep the teams organized and on track with ongoing priorities.
Execute accounting team operations ensuring suppliers and vendors are paid on time, expenses are paid and booked, customers are billed, money owed is collected.
Ensure employees are paid timely and accurately, and payroll taxes are filed accurately.
Complete month end operations including closing AP, AR and Payroll. Reconciliation of all types of accounts. Producing and presenting KPI and other types of financial reporting.
Develop strong internal processes, work to improve accounting operations by tailoring Payroll and Accounting systems and mentoring/training of staff.
Take part in internal and external audits.
Perform duties as requested by management.
