Our client, a leading provider of automated material handling solutions in Novi, MI is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position is operating on a Hybrid schedule of 3 days/week in office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience and understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

Maintain monthly and year-end closing entries

Exposure to working with other departments and internal leadership

Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Ensure timely and accurate AR and AP entries

Automate manual processes when possible

Special Projects & Ad-Hoc reporting

Work directly with external and internal audit teams

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a similar field

1+ years of experience working in an accounting department

Technology savvy and willing to learn new systems

Experience in all facets of AR and AP

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; work well with others

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professionalism and professional image

Strong organization and planning skills; detail oriented

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Computer proficiency (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software (Strong Excel skills)
