Venteon Finance is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst for a premier business law firm in the Detroit area. The Accounting Analyst is an integral part of the team and will provide support for the day to day accounting of the organization.
Requirements of the Accounting Analyst
Bachelor s degree in accounting required.
At least two years experience in accounting.
International accounting and familiarity with FX accounting for foreign exchange transactions is a plus.
Understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance and controls is a plus.
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel with proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst
Support successful month-end closing processes including reconciliation of foreign stand-alone financials under local accounting standards to US modified cash basis accounting standards.
Assist in the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations including foreign subsidiary.
Assist in establishing, upgrading, coordinating, and administering the procedures and operating systems to be used in controlling the financial operations of the firm.
Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual internal controls are completed in a timely fashion.
Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and P&L account reconciliations.
Prepare and process monthly journal entries, re-classes, and accruals.
