VENTEON Finance is hiring an Accounting/Accounts Payable Specialist to provide support in Farmington Hills, MI. You will provide direct support for all the invoice needs of the technology team.
POSITION TYPE: Full time, Open ended contract. Hybrid work opportunity requiring 2 days er week in the office. PAY: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.
Requirements of the Accounting/Accounts Payable Specialist:
Degree nice to have, not required. High School diploma required.
A minimum of three years of experience in Accounting that includes 2 years processing Accounts Payable invoices for payment.
Ability to reconcile accounts. Knowledge of debits and credits. Perform timely and accurate work.
Ability to start the assignment quickly.
Duties of the Accounting/Accounts Payable Specialist:
Ensure vendors are paid in a timely, accurate manner.
Monitor AP email box, retrieve vendor invoices, review for accuracy, and enter them into the system.
Perform 2 or 3 way match to purchase orders/shippers for applicable invoices and apply correct cost codes.
Run Accounts Payable reports, gain approvals to pay.
Support payment runs and payment distribution.
Answer and resolve questions from the IT department (who you will be supporting), internal managers and vendors about invoices.
Reconcile accounts and resolve any differences. Apply debits/credits.
Provide support for accounting related activities as requested.
Provide support for Accounting month end closing.
