Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking an Accountant for their corporate restaurant client on a temp to direct hire basis in St Clair Shores.

Pay Range:: 33.00HR - 36.00HR
Duties
Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice review, payment processing, reconciling vendor statements, and addressing any payment discrepancies.
Compile and prepare financial reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing account data.
Use accounting software like Sage 50 to record and maintain financial transactions.
Generate regulatory reports and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
Conduct account analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies or irregularities.
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments.
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Collaborate with private equity firms to provide financial data and support investment activities.
Support tax preparation processes and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and resolving any outstanding issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage or similar programs
Restaurant industry experience preferred
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements
Experience with financial statement preparation
Familiarity with private equity accounting is a plus
