Venteon Finance is currently seeking an Accountant for a professional services company located in the Cincinnati, OH area. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll processing. The accountant also provides administrative support to the location.
Requirements of the Accountant
Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and practices.
Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Previous accounting and payroll processing experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to successfully and comfortably work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities of the Accountant
Perform daily A/P financial transactions including verification of product receipts, PO matching, recording bills, and vendor payments.
Perform daily A/R financial transactions including invoicing, processing customer receipts, and collections.
Process payroll ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
Enter information and data into the accounting system.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and accounting rules.
Reconcile intercompany billings
Support Site Controller in month-end closing tasks, as needed.
