3RD SHIFT TOOL ROOM SUPERVISOR - HOWELL, MICHIGAN
 
A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Howell, Michigan area needs a 3rd Shift Tool Room Supervisor. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Supervise, instruct and motivate the Team to meet or exceed departmental goals and objectives. Know and apply broad knowledge of principles and practices of a field or specialization. May supervise/lead one or more functional areas. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.
Hire, train, and manage Associates using company policies, and practices in a consistent manner.
Plan and execute daily activities utilizing manpower, equipment, and materials while insuring safety, quality, and productivity.
Work on the floor as needed to complete the same jobs as the Skilled Associates.
Using core values, the Facilitator should initiate coaching and problem-solving activities that will maintain a productive relationship with Associates.
Remain accessible to Associates the majority of the time and respond to Associates concerns, complaints, problems, suggestions, etc. and provide information, answers and assistance in a reasonable time period.
Manage efficient utilization of manpower, equipment and materials to promote/improve safety, housekeeping, quality, and reduce scrap.
Maintain/improve customer service through use/participation of Concern/Resolution processes.
Using leadership and motivational techniques, maintain a productive and satisfied team.
Instill good communication and documentation between shifts and departments for all activities.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
5 Years of Tool and Die / Machining related experience.
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
General knowledge of computers is expected.
