3RD SHIFT TOOL & DIE MAKER NEEDED - DUNDEE, MICHIGAN
A Leading Automotive Supplier in Dundee, Michigan needs a 3rd Shift Tool & Die Maker. 3rd Shift Working Hours are Sunday from 5 P.M. to 5 A.M. on Friday Morning. There will be Paid Overtime and Time and a Half after 40 Hours Worked in a Week. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain, build, and upgrade dies, fixtures, and gauges
Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance
Demonstrates good short- and long-term decision making in these areas:
Diagnosis of problem and courses of action
Tool room repair and maintenance work
Tool Room machining practices
Program timing, meeting deadlines
Perform all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
Promote teamwork and shows a willingness to work with other departments
Participate in continuous improvement activities
This full-time role is a part of our Tool & Die team and reports to the Manufacturing Manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Tooling Troubleshooting
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or eight years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
Must have valid Driver s License
Must be able to safely operate forklift
Must be able to safely operate overhead canes
Ability to run all tool room and precision equipment efficiently
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Diagnosis of problem and courses of action
Tool Room repair and maintenance work
Tool Room machining practices
Program timing, meeting deadlines
Perform all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
Promote teamwork and shows a willingness to work with other departments.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Journeyman s Card preferred.
