3RD SHIFT CNC PROGRAMMER - FT. WAYNE, INDIANA
A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Fort, Wayne, Indiana area needs a 3rd Shift CNC Programmer. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Off Shift Premium, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains CNC equipment and responsible for programing and set up of Haas 3-axis & 5-axis CNC machines. Machine steel components and tooling to support a production automotive facility. Additionally, supports all preventative maintenance programs by performing the following duties within an Automotive Environment.
Programming CNC code from provided 3D CAD data utilizing Mastercam 2024-2025 software
Setting up appropriate machining tools, offsets, and materials as required
Operating CNC machines and verifying finished components as required
Ability to build one-off components to 3D models, not production machining
Operate other toolroom equipment as needed, i.e., manual mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, overhead crane, saw, etc.
Interacting with Design Engineers / Project Leaders / Toolmakers / Apprentices to develop manufacturable components with an eye for product improvement and potential build issues
Ensuring that the customer s requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery, are understood and met
Ensuring the shop environment is safe, clean, and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques
Identifies tooling needed to complete machining projects
Hard-cutting and machining of welded components
Observing all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years of 3D programming experience on Mastercam 2019-2025
Minimum 5 years knowledge of 3D metal cutting and machining process
Strong problem-solving techniques & communication skills
Able to work individually with little supervision
Ability to read & interpret blueprints
