2ND SHIFT MACHINIST / MOLD MAKER NEEDED - TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN
 
A Leading Manufacturing Company in the Tecumseh, Michigan area needs a 2nd Shift Machinist / Mold Maker. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The CNC Machinist/Tool Maker will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Must now how to use/read mics and calipers.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for various machining processes.
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
  • Set up and operate Bridgeport type mills.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
  • Cut, shape and form metal parts using manual drill press, lathes, power saws, snips, files, sand blasters, surface grinders and mallets.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
  • Ability to operate one or more machines to produce parts as directed
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Knowledge of metal properties and other material
  • Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
