2ND SHIFT WATER JET OPERATOR - PLYMOUTH, MICHIGAN
A Leading Automotive Supplier in Plymouth, Michigan needs a 2nd Shift Water Jet Operator. Setting up & operating a flow waterjet to cut out blank parts out of sheets of alloys prior to being machined. Experience operating a Water Jet is Required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting up & operating a flow waterjet to cut out blank parts out of sheets of alloys prior to being machined. Experience operating a water jet is required. Must also be able to read micrometers, calipers, prints & have ability to learn as the desire will be to teach how to program, troubleshoot & maintain the machine. Must be reliable, prompt and ability to work unsupervised to complete tasks.
Able to set up and operate a high-speed water jet cutter.
Cut and trim parts and materials from assorted materials.
Able to read work orders and specs to determine set up.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task
Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
Working safely as a condition of employment.
Moving materials with Hi lo and or overhead crane with lift assist.
Record production and quality records using our ERP system PLEX.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
One or more years of experience in the industry
Hands on experience setting up & operating a flow waterjet to cut out blank parts out of sheets of alloys prior to being machined. Experience operating a water jet is required.
