STAMPING MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - ADRIAN, MICHIGAN
A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Adrian, Michigan area needs a Stamping Maintenance Engineer. Prospective Candidates must have Siemen's Step 7 Experience or Metal Stamping Press Expertise.
The Working Hours for this Position will be 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. with a Rotating 2 Week Schedule of 4 Days On and 3 Days Off and then vice versa. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation. NO SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical drawings to maintenance technicians to aid in repair and troubleshooting of stamping presses.
Receives quotes to refurbish, repair and maintain stamping presses from vendors and other outside resources.
Schedules stamping press PM and Work Order completions in conjunction with Maintenance Coordinator and Stamping Operations Manager
Monitors PM frequencies and content in conjunction with Maintenance coordinator
Ensures that spare part inventory is adequate for stamping press sizes and quantities
Coordinates stamping improvement projects and repairs
Troubleshoots ladder logic code and other configurable automated control systems
Assist in necessary repairs to damaged equipment (to the component level if needed).
Provides support to other departments and team members as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Prepares work schedules with interim end target estimates for all projects within his/her responsibility.
Searches out and implements new technologies and Continuous Improvement opportunities.
Maintain proper filing system to ensure all information is properly stored and easily retrieved.
Carries out assigned responsibilities under IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the Automotive Industry with exposure to building equipment, programmable logic control, electrical, robotics, etc.
Working knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning processes.
Excellent Blue-Print reading ability.
Ability to understand and work with Cad Data and Wire Frame drawings.
Sound understanding of IATF 16949/ISO 14001 requirements
Working knowledge of various Processes
Computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, CAD key
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Effective problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to handle multi-tasks and changing priorities
Works well in a team environment
Effective presentation skills
Certified Tool & Die Maker, University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent job related experience
