Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Manager, Tax & Accounting for a growing local CPA firm in the Metro-Detroit area. We are seeking an experienced CPA that can oversee client engagements and support the continued growth of our firm. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong technical tax and accounting knowledge who enjoys working directly with business owners.
Requirements of the Manager, Tax & Accounting
5+ years of public accounting experience
Bachelor s degree in Accounting
CPA license required
Strong experience with both individual and business tax returns
Proven ability to review work and mentor or support staff
Experience with multi-entity and flow-through taxation
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, general ledger, and close processes
Experience with payroll tax filings and sales tax compliance (including multi-state)
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities of the Manager, Tax & Accounting
Manage and review business and individual tax returns
Oversee financial statement preparation
Review bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services for business clients
Assist clients with tax planning, business structuring, and advisory
Support firm leadership with workflow management
Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients
