3RD SHIFT TOOL & DIE MAKER NEEDED - DETROIT, MICHIGAN

A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Detroit, Michigan area needs a 3rd Shift Tool & Die Maker. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Off Shift Premium, Good Benefits, Paid Holiday's and Paid Vacation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform extensive Die Maintenance. Preferring Candidates experienced working with Progressive Stamping Dies.
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, blanchard, and surface grinder to machine parts.
  • Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures.
  • Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts and make repairs.
  • Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs and fixtures to recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
  • Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components.
  • Experience repairing large dies both inside presses and outside presses. A Journeyman's Card is Preferred.
