Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a growing real estate investment and development company, located on the east side of metro Detroit. Our client offers a first-class office setting and a small group environment that will afford a motivated person an excellent career opportunity in a diverse accounting position.
Requirements of the Staff Accountant
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting
- Financial accounting and general ledger experience required.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Analytical skills plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, well organized, able to prioritize, effective at multi-tasking.
- Enthusiastic, excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong work ethic.
- Timberline / Sage 300 and QuickBooks accounting software experience is a plus
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
- Record the day-to-day financial activity of multiple real estate partnerships
- Prepare work papers for annual audits
- Review partnership tax returns
- Variety of special projects and assignments in the areas of financial reporting and compliance.
